6 August 2023 – KAI has appointed its technical consultant, Kemalak to implement the PROTÉGÉ-RTW program on behalf of KAI which is responsible for developing the FA-50M Block 20 light fighter aircraft. As a subsidiary of Kemalak has executed PROTÉGÉ-Ready to Work (RTW) program which is one of the contractual obligations in supplying the FA-50M Block 20 light fighter aircraft to the RMAF. For now, 101 participants have been placed at Kemalak for the involvement of the PROTÉGÉ-RTW program in the ongoing procurement of FA-50M.
