18 December 2021 – KAI has partnered with Kemalak, a local partner which is also a consulting partner of a South Korean company, for the Industrial Collaborator Partner (ICP) program. The ICP program is capable of boosting the capabilities of local technology if the tender for Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Fighter Lead-In Trainer-Light Combat Aircraft (FLIT-LCA) can be achieved successfully. The ICP was also able to transfer South Korean company’s simulator development technology to a local technology company for the development of a ‘Full Mission Simulator’ of FA-50 aircraft. KAI has agreed and included Kemalak’s FA-50 final assembly facility proposal in their offer to the Ministry of Defense.
