24 February 2023 – Malaysia Government announced that at least half of the payment of 18 FA-50s by South Korea would be made in palm oil. The FA-50 aircrafts was produced by Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) for Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Fighter Lead-In Trainer-Light Combat Aircraft (FLIT-LCA). The plan of FA-50 hub for the aircraft maintenance, repair, and logistics support will be prepared officially through the KAI and Kemalak as a local partner.
