The Lapang Sasar Udara (LASARUD) in Kota Belud, Sabah, serves its purpose in assessing the combat readiness of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and evaluating the effectiveness of weapon assets. Kemalak Systems has been servicing LASARUD for more than 11 years since October 2013.
The contract comprises of three service level agreements:
The A400M Cargo Hold Training Device, located at Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Subang Air Base, is a Part Task Trainer for Loadmasters. It accurately simulates the cargo hold and ramp loading area of an A400M aircraft. Developed through collaboration between Kemalak Systems and Rheinmetall Defence Electronics GmbH. The project was awarded to Kemalak Systems on October 2016, covering both systems and infrastructure. Subsequently, a maintenance contract has been awarded to Kemalak Systems on August 2023.

The Portable Electronic Target Systems (PETS) was supplied and installed at Kem Terendak, Tanjung Bidara, Melaka. Kemalak Systems played a pivotal role in supplying, operating and maintaining comprehensive targeting system and covering proficiency in rifle handling and tactical strategies. The contract has been awarded on May 2018.
The project subjective comprise of three level agreements:
Kemalak Systems is the sole local consultant for Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI). KAI was awarded the Light Combat Aircraft/Fighter Lead-In-Trainer contract to supply 18 FA-50M to the Royal Malaysian Airforce. These new fighter aircrafts will enhance Malaysia’s defense capabilities. With Kemalak Systems representing the country’s defense interests and fostering a strong relationship between Kemalak Systems and KAI for future cooperation in the defense industry.
Launched by Kemalak in 2023, the PROTÉGÉ-RTW program is part of a contract with Korea Aerospace Industry (KAI) for the supply, delivery, and commissioning of 18 Fighter Lead-In Trainer – Light
Combat Aircraft (FLIT-CA) and associated equipment, as well as FA-50M Block 20 Light Fighter Jets, to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Government of Malaysia.
This initiative enhances the employability of Malaysian graduates through industry training and skill development. By equipping young talents with practical experience, Kemalak contributes to the growth of Malaysia’s aerospace and defense industries.
